PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for easily ameliorating dropsy in a short time. SOLUTION: The dropsy-ameliorating agent comprises a composition containing a carbon dioxide gas-generating agent or carbon dioxide gas in an amount which enables the increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide gas in hot water up to at least 60 ppm.
