<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably eliminate error in insertion and omission of insertion after suspension due to a power failure without depending on an operator's checking ability. <P>SOLUTION: The component mounting apparatus comprises a detection sensor for detecting whether components are mounted on the mount position of a printed board by a component mounting unit, and for counting the number of mounted components when it is detected that components are mounted; and a determination means for comparing the value of the number of mounted components that was counted by the detection sensor with the normal number of components to be mounted on the printed board to determine the presence or absence of a location where a component is not mounted, thus enabling the elimination of the error in insertion and the omission of insertion after suspension due to a power failure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
