PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a filter assembly body stored in a cleaner case, reduce the weight, and facilitate the attaching and detaching work of an element, in an air cleaner device of a riding vehicle engine. SOLUTION: In the air cleaner device of the vehicle engine, the filter assembly body 56 is arranged in the cleaner case. The filter assembly body 56 is comprised of the cylindrical cleaner element 64, an element retainer 65 to support the lower end of the cleaner element 64 and retain the inner perimeter of the cleaner element 64 in a predetermined shape, and a flat-plate like top cover 64 attached tightly to the upper surface of the element retainer 65 with a screw 66, and to press down the upper end of the cleaner element 64.
