PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a formed material and a producing method therefor with which in the formed material having a working datum plane, produced by using metallic molds, when this material is supplied to the working, the prior repairing work of the working datum plane can be saved. SOLUTION: In the formed material having the working datum plane, produced by using the metallic molds, a portion corresponding to the mating part of the metallic molds of the working datum plane is recessed by burr amount to be formed thereat as the result. Further, in the method for producing the formed material having the working datum by using the metallic molds, the metallic mold mating part at the portion corresponding to the working datum plane recessed by the burr amount to be formed thereat as the result is used.
