The invention relates to an ironing board covering comprised of a top layer and of an elastic padding, which is adapted to the shape of the ironing board. The padding, on its edge, has retaining strips at least at the ends of the padding. The padding is fastened to the ironing board in an exchangeable manner by means of these retaining strips.
