A digital high-frequency signal is generated and fed into a coupling element (2) on a transmitter (1). The coupling element sends out an electric near-field, which is linked into an electrically conductive transmission element (6) and decoupled by a coupling element (5) on a receiver (4). One of the transmission elements moves in relation to another transmission element during transmission. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) A system for transmitting messages between machine parts; (B) and for a transmitter in a system for transmitting messages between machine parts; (C) and for a receiver in a system for transmitting messages between machine parts; (D) and for a computer program for transmitting messages between machine parts or similar with arithmetic instructions for carrying out the method of the present invention.
