PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide manufacturing method of plasma display panel and plasma display device and a painting device which are capable of easily uniformizing the height of barrier ribs. SOLUTION: Central axis of rolls 21, 22 are arranged in parallel with each other at upside of an insulation base plate 1, A roll 23 contacts the roll 22 and the insulation base plate 1, and a central axis of the roll 23 is arranged in parallel with the central axis of the roll 22. A barrier rib paste layer 19 is formed by painting a barrier rib paste 18 on the base plate in a manner that the amount of painting on the end part in a direction orthogonal to the direction in which the base plate moves come to smaller than that on the central part, by using the painting device 20 having such a gap that the gap 24 at end part is narrower than the gap 24b at central part, between the rolls 21, 22.
