In connection with grinding mills, for example for the grinding of spices in corn form, e.g. peppercorns, and comprising a hollow element (6) for receiving the corns of material (4), with at least one opening (8) covered with a cover (12) and means for the grinding of the corn materials (4) into particles or powder form (4"), at present there are known grinding mills which can be operated with one hand and which are electrically-driven, and which demand a supply of energy in the form of batteries. If this source of energy fails, the grinding mill will not function. A device (2) is disclosed for the grinding of grain materials (4), e.g. peppercorns, which is characteristic in that the hollow element (6) consists of an elastic yielding material, and that the means for grinding consist of a number of loose, hard elements (10) placed inside the hollow element (6), which by manipulation grinds/crushes the materials (4) placed inside the hollow element. The opening (8) is covered with a detachably-secured cover (12) with a sieve (14). In order to be able to regulate the grain size of the ground material (4"), the cover can comprise a number of sieves (14) in the form of groups of fall-through openings (16) with respectively different sizes, and moreover can be housed in a displaceable manner in over the opening (8) so that the particle size of the ground spices can be varied. |
