The invention relates to an aluminoborosilicate glass devoid of alkali, which has the following composition (in wt. % relative to the oxide content): SiO<SUB>2</SUB>>58-70; B<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3 </SUB>0.5-<9; AL<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3 </SUB>10-25; MgO>8-15; CaO 0-<10; SrO-<3; BaO 0-<2; with MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO>8-18; ZnO 0-<2. Said glass is eminently suitable for use as substrate glass, both in display technology and in thin-film photovoltaic technology. |
