PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin core material hardly thermally deformed in a vulcanization furnace, and to contribute to weight saving of an automobile. SOLUTION: This weather strip is provided with the core material 1 with a 1.1-10 times expansion rate, which is formed of a resin foamed by extrusion foaming using a material containing talk, and glass fibers for a core material resin, and the circumference of the core material 1 is covered with EPDM rubber 3 (subjected to vulcanizing molding after covering unvulcanized rubber). Since the heat conductivity of the resin core material 1 is small, the plastic deformation of the resin core material 1 in the vulcanization furnace 55 can be solved, and besides, the contribution to the weight saving can be made.
