<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove a depositing substance on the surface of a photoreceptor drum in a simple structure and to extend the life of a photoreceptor drum. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary rack 40 holding a plurality of developing devices 4Y, 4M, 4C, 4B is placed in the position opposing to a photoreceptor drum 1 where an electrostatic latent image is to be formed. While the rotary rack 40 is rotated around a rotation shaft 41, the plurality of developing devices 4Y, 4M, 4C, 4B are successively moved to the developing position opposing to the photoreceptor drum to develop an image. A rubbing member 42 is disposed between the last color developing device 4B and the first color developing device 4Y disposed on the rotary rack 40 and is engaged to push the surface of the photoreceptor drum via a spring 43. While no image is formed, the rubbing member 42 touches the surface of the photoreceptor drum and rubs and polishes an ionic product produced on the surface of the photoreceptor drum in the image forming process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
