<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film sticking apparatus and a method therefor capable of accurately sticking an optical film to a substrate and preventing the occurrence of air bubbles, dust and an electrostatic charge. <P>SOLUTION: A top end part of a film piece 16 is sucked and held on a surface of an external tube section 96a via holes 156, 160 by driving a suction pump connected to an internal tube section 96b. Next, the top end part which is in a state of being sucked and held on the surface of the external tube section 96a is protruded from a pressure roll 96 to a receiving roll 94 by rotating the external tube section 96a against the internal tube section 96b. Next, the external tube section 96a is rotated to an opposite direction so as to make the top end part come on a straight line connecting centers of the receiving and pressure rolls 94, 96, and a part of the film piece 16 existing between the pressure roll 96 and a film piece transferring means 56 is made to slacken. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
