<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device receiving a left chest of an occupant with an inflated left half air bag, receiving a right chest with a right half air bag, making a space of the air bag inflated opposite to a center part in right and left directions of the chest of the occupant, and inflating both of the left half air bag and the right half air bag smoothly and approximately equally in the right and the left from an initial stage of expansion. <P>SOLUTION: A left half air bag 12 and a right half air bag 14 are primarily folded into a primary folded body elongated in front and rear directions. Middle portions in the inflating direction of the left half air bag 12 and the right half air bag 14 are separated to the right and the left by opening tip ends into an opening leg shape from a connected connection belt 18. A rear end side more from the connection belt 18 is folded to make front and rear width small into a secondary folded body.
