PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet which can highly ensure the penetration resistance and impact-absorbing ability thereof and in which ventilator holes can be formed in a high freedom degree to make the outer air sufficiently flow in the helmet. SOLUTION: This helmet is characterized by disposing ventilator holes 10 in the shell 1, having metal reinforcing plates 4 in which penetrated holes 41 are formed and which have a larger size than the sizes of the ventilator holes 10, and attaching the one sides 42 of the reinforcing plates 4 to the inside portions 12 around the ventilator holes 10 of the shell 41 to block the ventilator holes 10.
