PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure an open sensor system in a sensor control system, and to configure a flexible and corresponding sensor control system. SOLUTION: An input/output control means for executing input/output control is arranged between a sensor and a controller, and the input/output control means is provided with generality so that it is possible to constitute an open sensor for performing setting from the controller to the sensor side or the transmission of a detection output from the sensor side to the input/output control means without depending on the configurations of the sensor. The sensor control system 1 is provided with a sensor module 2 including the sensor, a general controller 4 and a general input/output controller 3 for executing input/output control between the sensor module 2 and the general controller 4. The general input/output controller 3 inputs the detection output of the sensor module 2 or its sensor information, and outputs it to the general controller 4.
