PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound machine capable of outputting high-quality reports by effectively using a high-quality font to be provided by a printer function, when the machine is equipped with this printer function, and to provide its control method. SOLUTION: On receiving a print request for a communication report, printing is performed using a high-quality font, after confirming whether the printer function is equipped with the high-quality font set beforehand. When any high-quality fonts set beforehand do not exist, printing is enabled by using a high-quality font of a different language by designating the language for printing. In that case, printing can be performed also by using a low-quality font equipped in the compound machine as standard equipment, without changing languages. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
