PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger with a header tank in a multi-holed structure having a smaller size, a lighter weight and high pressure resistance without increasing passage resistance. SOLUTION: The header tank 30 has a combination of a flat header plate 31 having a tube insertion hole 36 and a tank body 32 having a partition wall 34 at the center to form two distribution passages 35A, 35B in approximately semicircular cross section partitioned with the partition wall 34. With an end 21a abutting on the end face of the partition wall 34, a tube 21 inserted into the tube insertion hole 36 of the header plate 31 is joined to the header plate 31.
