PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side shade device capable of attaining a function acting as a visor for a door window and further capable of covering an entire width size of the non-rectangular door window. SOLUTION: This side shade device S comprises a sheet 21 covering an opening 2a enclosed by a window frame 3 of an automobile door 1, and a roll shade 22 to which the base end of the sheet 21 is fixed to roll up the sheet 21. The roll shade 22 is arranged at an upper frame 3b of the window frame 3. The sheet 21 is developed from a state wound onto the roll shade 22 toward the lower side of the opening 2a. A trim member 5 is arranged inside the automobile on the window frame 3. The roll shade 22 is arranged between the window frame 3 and the trim member 5.
