PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopper apparatus for a bridge, using an existing steel-made stopper rod, designing a steel-made cylindrical body fitted thereto according to the conventional design technique, and simple in structure. SOLUTION: In this stopper apparatus 5 for a bridge, the lower part of a vertical steel-made stopper rod 2 is buried and fixed to a lower structure 1 of an abutment or a bridge pier, and the upper part of the steel-made stopper rod 2 is stored in an anchor cap buried and fixed to the upper structure 3. The steel-made cylindrical body 7 is fitted to the middle part 6 of the stopper rod in a part between the lower structure 1 and the upper structure 3, and bending force is born by the steel-made cylindrical body 7 to reduce the load of bending force of the steel-made stopper bar 2, and apply the shearing force thereto.
