PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excrement/urine separating toilet apparatus, when separating an excrement, or a solid component, from urine, or a liquid component, using an excrement receiver composed of a netted member, retaining a high separation efficiency by preventing the lowering of the separation efficiency of the excrement from the urine due to clogging of the excrement receiver. SOLUTION: This toilet apparatus 10 allows the excrement receiver 18 composed of the netted member to receive excreta and pass the urine, or the liquid component in the excreta, through meshes 22 of the excrement receiver 18 and separate the excrement, or the solid component, from the urine, or the liquid component. This device 10 is provided with a cleaning mechanism 46 with needle-shaped projections 48 piercing into the respective meshes 22 of the excrement receiver 18 to prevent the clogging.
