PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a crew to feel a spacial wide-range and calm state. SOLUTION: There are provided lighting units 20 for lighting a ceiling surface which are extended linearly along the forward or rearward direction at the right and left sides of the ceiling in the indoor part of a vehicle. There is provided a vehicle indoor lighting device 1 where an intensity of illumination near a location above the head of a crew in a lighting range at the ceiling surface by the lighting unit is lower as compared with that of other locations.
