<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to improve an encoding efficiency of a lone row emerging very frequently. <P>SOLUTION: A bit map data showing an image by an array of the pixels of a fast-scan direction and a slow-scan direction is scanned to the fast-scan direction, is isolated into an area including a black pixel and an area not including the black pixel in a logic line unit of a prescribed number of the line, and isolated into an encoding area coinciding with a prescribed encoding pattern and a non-coding area not coinciding with the encoding pattern by scanning the area including the black pixel to the slow-scan direction. The lone row coinciding with the prescribed lone pattern is isolated out of the non-coding area, and each of the isolated areas is encoded by combining a code expressing the lone row and a code expressing the number of row adjacent to the lone row when it is encoded as an element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
