PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pin tumbler lock which can reduce the abrasion and breakage of a key, a pin tumbler, etc., and which can prevent fraudulent unlocking caused by a fraudulent key. SOLUTION: This pin tumbler lock is equipped with an outer cylinder 3 with a pin hole 31, an inner cylinder 2 inside which a key inserting hole 21 and a tumbler inserting hole 22 are provided, a pin tumbler 4 which is inserted into the tumbler inserting hole of the inner cylinder, a drive pin 5 which is inserted into the pin hole of the outer cylinder, a coil spring 6 which is inserted into the pin hole and which urges the drive pin inward, and the key 10 which is inserted into the key inserting hole and which has a key code hole. The key inserting hole of the inner cylinder 2 is formed of a circular hole with a circular cross section, and a bottom of the key inserting hole of the inner cylinder 2 is provided with a part 23 to be fitted, into which a leading end of the key is to be fitted when the key is inserted. When a proper key is turned in the state of being inserted into the key inserting hole of the inner cylinder, a fitting part 13 at the leading end of the key is fitted into the part 23 to be fitted in the key inserting hole, and a turning force of the key is transferred to the inner cylinder via the part to be fitted.
