PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial fan suppressing noises by involving vortexes generated at outer peripheral ends of blades. SOLUTION: The axial fan 2 comprises a boss 4 rotatable about a predetermined axis and a plurality of blades 6 attached to an outer periphery of the boss 4. A line Lmax connecting maximum camber positions of a camber line of each blade element of each blade 6 is designed to lie on a leading edge side from a 50% position of a chord length at an inner peripheral end and to lie on a trailing edge side from a 50% position of a chord length at an outer peripheral end.
