<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contaminant degradation device using a photocatalyst coat leak fiber having a high use efficiency of stimulating light. <P>SOLUTION: This contaminant degradation device 1 has a light source 2 for irradiating the photocatalyst with stimulable light, a photocatalyst assembly 6 wherein a plurality of photocatalyst coat leak fibers 4 coating the surface of an optical fiber directly connected to the light source with the photocatalyst, making the stimulable light to leak from the surface of the optical fiber to irradiate the photocatalyst with the stimulable light are arranged on a sheet 5 in parallel at prescribed intervals, and are rolled in a cylindrical or rod shape, and a device body 8 having a channel 7 of a degradation object to be inserted with the photocatalyst assembly 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
