PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation method of a polymer latex containing a wax and a colorant, improved in dispersibility without adding a coagulating agent. SOLUTION: The preparation method of a polymer latex 300 comprises a step for preparing a dispersion containing a wax 100 and a colorant 200, a step for preparing an aqueous phase containing the dispersion, a step for preparing an organic phase containing a monomer, a step for mixing the aqueous phase with the organic phase to prepare a mixture, a step for homogenizing the mixture, and a step for adding a polymerization initiator to the mixture to polymerize the monomer. As the polymer latex 300 includes the wax 100 and the colorant 200 therein by the method, so the particle size of the produced toner particle 400 may be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
