PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously casting a cast slab, restraining the clogging of an immersion nozzle and having a little blow hole defect. SOLUTION: When molten steel in a tundish is supplied into a mold for continuously casting through an immersion nozzle arranged at the bottom part, in the continuous casting method for blowing mixed gas of argon gas and gas soluble to the molten steel, into the molten steel passing through the immersion nozzle, the argon gas flowing rate is decided with the cross sectional area of the mold and the clogging of the immersion nozzle during casting is restrained by deciding the whole gas flowing rate with a through-put.
