The cooling fluid tube (4) is doubled back on itself and has an inlet connection (18) and an outlet connection (24) side-by-side. A bimetallic spring (22) moves a valve flap (20) in the inlet connection to control the flow of the cooling fluid. The cooling fluid tube has fins (26) on the outside to improve heat transfer to the air in the channel (13) inside the manifold. The manifold is of rectangular cross-section, and is made of top and bottom half-shells (6,7) joined at a flange.
