The window frame (1) is especially used in a road vehicle. It has a curved top portion (4) made from a bent metal profile section. The ends of the curved top portion are extended to form straight parallel leg portions (2,3). The glass window (6), set in the frame, can slide up and down, with straight edges sliding in the straight portions of the frame. The curved top of the glass pane fits into the groove in the curved portion of the pane when the window pane is fully raised. Fittings (7,8) in the straight side edges of the glass pane are attached to these fittings and are used for raising and lowering the glass pane. An electric motor (14) may be used to wind up the wire. |
