<p>This invention relates to a rock bolt tensioning device (10) for use with a rock drill which comprises a torque multiplying gearbox (12) including a housing (20) in which the gear arrangement of the gearbox is located, an input shaft (14) which is releasably engageable in a rock drill chuck, an output shaft which is releasably engageable with a socket spanner for releasably engaging a rock bolt tensioning nut, and means (22) on the gearbox housing which is releasably engageable with at least one formation (38) at or adjacent the forward end of the rock drill casing to prevent rotation of the device relatively to the rock drill casing, in use.</p> |
