A conductive roller which suffers no softener bleeding, has a low hardness, and is reduced in compression set and rolling resistance. The conductive roller (1) comprises a shaft (2) and an elastic layer (3) with which the periphery of the shaft (2) is surrounded, wherein the elastic layer (3) is one formed from a rubber composition comprising an ingredient (A) which is a polybutadiene rubber and/or polyisoprene rubber having a cis-1,4-bond content of 90% or higher, an ingredient (B) which is a liquid polyisoprene rubber, an ingredient (C) which is a conductive agent, and an ingredient (D) which is a peroxide, the proportion of the ingredient (A) to the ingredient (B) being in a specific range.
