PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyolefin resin foam with good volume recovering properties and capable of replacing a combustible foaming gas with an inorganic gas such as air in a short period, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the polyolefin resin extruded foam comprises extruding a molten gel obtained by melting and kneading a polyolefin resin, a combustible foaming agent, and a shrinkage preventing agent containing palmitic acid monoglyceride of≥50 wt.% by a weight ratio in an extruder into a low pressure region to obtain a foam, and holding the foam at a temperature of≥25°C to generate crackings larger than a width of 0.1μm in a layer of the shrinkage preventing agent existing on the surface of a bubble film of the foam.
