PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toggle clamp which enables fine adjustment of a clamp pressure and absorption of a thickness error. SOLUTION: A clamp arm 4 of the toggle clamp 1 has an output rod 20, which almost perpendicularly extends from the clamp arm 4, mounted on one end of the clamp arm 4. The output rod 20 has a contact part 35 which comes into contact with an article through a spring member 41 stretching in the clamping direction and can regulate the compression level of the spring member 41 during clamping. It is possible to set the clamp pressure to a desired value by regulating the compression level of the spring member 41 during clamping. The force (pressure) F applied by a spring is proportionate to the compression level, so that the fine adjustment of the clamp pressure is easy as an adjustment allowance is amplified, compared with the case in which the pressure is adjusted by adjusting the position of the contact part by a conventional toggle clamp. In addition, it is possible to clamp the article by absorbing a thickness error, e.g. a positional deviation of the article by the compression of the spring member 41.
