PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color picture tube prevented from occurrence of an asymmetric blur in a horizontal direction at side-beam spots in spite of its static convergence structure, and as a result, having an excellent resolution. SOLUTION: Open holes 61R, 61B at both outsides out of three open holes where three electron beams pass through, formed in at least one of the electrodes 61 out of electrodes forming a main lens of an electron gun are off-centered in a horizontal direction against an electron gun axis passing through each cathode at the both outsides to realize static convergence. End edge shape 61Ri, 61Bi at the side of a center open hole 61G of each open hole 61R, 61B at the both off-centered outsides and end edge shapes 61Ro, 61Bo at an opposite side of the center open hole 61G are asymmetric within the range of rotating a horizontal axis by±10°with the horizontal direction radius centers 61Rc, 61Bc as a center.
