PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape which can be cleanly peeled without leaving adhesive even when it is pasted on an adherend such as a metal and is exposed to a high temperature of 250°C or higher, and a silicone composition for the pressure-sensitive adhesive constituting the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. SOLUTION: The silicone composition for the pressure-sensitive adhesive comprises a polyorganosiloxane having an alkenyl group, a polyorganosiloxane having an R<SP>1</SP><SB>3</SB>SiO<SB>0.5</SB>unit and an SiO<SB>2</SB>unit and a polyorganosiloxane having an SiH group, where when (1) a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is prepared by applying the composition on a substrate tape so that the thickness after cured is 28-32μm and subsequently heating it at 110-140°C for 1-3 min, (2) the pressure-sensitive adhesive surface side of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is contact-bonded to the surface of stainless steel and then heated at a maximum temperature of 250-300°C for at least 10 min, and subsequently (3) the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is cooled down to room temperature and manually peeled from the stainless steel and the surface of the stainless steel is visually observed, no residues resulting from the silicone composition is observed on the surface of the stainless steel.
