PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing apparatus capable of discharging uncrushed objects to the outside of a main body. SOLUTION: The crushing apparatus 1 comprises a main body 5 having a throwing inlet 3 for throwing an object 2 to be crushed and a chamber for crushing the object 2, a rotary shaft 51 installed in the main body 5, a motor 10 for rotating the rotary shaft 51, and a chain 7 for crushing the object 2 supplied to the main body 5 through the throwing inlet 3 by rotation of the rotary shaft 51 and the chain 7 is positioned approximately horizontally owing to the centrifugal force at the time of rotation of the rotary shaft 51 and hung down owing to the gravity when the rotary shaft 51 is stopped.
