PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting container for rooftop greening for both watering and oxygen supply and a protection measure for a strong wind, sunshine and heat and cold. SOLUTION: This planting container 1 is such one that a pair of openings 11 are set on opposite two sides of a side face near a bottom in which soil of the container 1 is filled, a vent pipe 2 connecting to the opening 11 and comprising a porous or mesh structure is set, a watering piping 3 is arranged in the vent pipe, a fixing frame 4 is inserted to form a fixation structure against the strong wind, and a mat-like water-absorbing sheet made of nonwoven fabric is laid on the container bottom to let the sheet absorb surplus water. The external water supply and the fixation structure are each covered with curbstones 5 around many arrayed container rows. Furthermore, support holding holes 12 for supporting plant/plant protective sheet are set on corners of a container side wall, and supports are set upright to use for supporting the protective sheet and plants.
