A laser rod (1) is held by a rod holder (5). The rod holder (5) is received in a recess (40) provided in an adjustment ring (7), and the adjustment ring (7) is attached to a cavity container (4). The rod holder (5) is pressed to the cavity container (4) by a bottom surface of the recess (40) of the adjustment ring (7). The diameter of the recess (40) is formed slightly larger than the outer diameter of the rod holder (5), and this enables the rod holder (5) to freely move in the recess (40) in the radial direction of the recess (40). Adjustment screws (8a, 8b) and a spring (9) are radially arranged in the adjustment ring (7), from the side face of the adjustment ring (7) to inside the recess (40), so as to be in contact with the rod holder (5). The rod holder (5) is pressed and supported by three points that are head ends of the adjustment screws (8a, 8b) and the spring (9), respectively. In a rod-type solid laser device with the structure above, adjusting the amount of thread-in of the adjustment screws (8a, 8b) causes the spring (9) to extend and retract and enables the position of the rod holder (5) to be adjusted.
