<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protein capable of inhibiting abnormal activation of the immunologic mechanism of organism, especially plant, through identifying the protein involved in the control of the immunologic mechanism in the organism, that is, to provide an activation inhibitor for the immunologic mechanism of organism. <P>SOLUTION: The activation inhibitor for the immunologic mechanism of organism comprises the CAD1(constitutively activated cell death 1) gene of Arabidopsis thalina or its translational product thereof. A CAD1 mutant deleted with the CAD1 gene of Arabidopsis thalina is provided. A method for screening the activation inhibitory activity of the immunological mechanism of a test substance is also provided, comprising growing the CAD1 mutant of Arabidopsis thalina followed by introducing the test substance into the CAD1 mutant and then assaying the necrotic lesions of CAD1 mutant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
