INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE USING HYDROGEN

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the production quantity of hydrogen by improving reaction efficiency when inducing a dehydrogenation reaction using energy of exhaust gas. SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine using hydrogen is provided with a hydrogenated gasoline injector 24 for supplying catalysts 72 with organic hydride containing fuel and a hydrogen supply injector 18 for supplying an internal combustion engine 10 with hydrogen taken out from the organic hydride containing fuel by the dehydrogenation reaction on the catalysts 72. The internal combustion engine 10 has a plurality of cylinders and the plurality of catalysts 72 are respectively built in a plurality of exhaust passages 14a-14d provided for every cylinder or for every cylinder group in a state that they are shut off from contact with exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust passages 14a-14d.
