PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vision assisting system for vehicle enhancing visibility of a driver regardless of the environmental temperature of a traveling vehicle. SOLUTION: In the vision assisting system for vehicle 1, the vehicle is provided with an infrared camera 4 and a visible camera 2 and the images from the infrared camera and the visible camera are compounded and displayed on a display 9 provided in the vehicle. The infrared camera 4 is provided with a means 7 for outputting an infrared camera image picked up by the infrared camera while switching between a negative image and a positive image by an external output, and a means 8 for compounding a visible camera image picked up by the visible camera 2 and the negative image or positive image.
