PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film roll, easily restraining formation of a deformation mark due to a difference in level of thickness between the surface of a core material and the winding edge of a film. SOLUTION: This film roll 11 includes: the core material 21 formed cylindrical; and the film 31 wound round the surface 22 of the core material. The film 31 is provided with knurling 34 formed at the end part 33 on the winding end side. This knurling 34 is extended parallel to the longitudinal direction of the film 31 and formed in a pair on both end parts in the width direction. Further, the knurling 34 is formed to a length enough to make one or more rounds of the core material surface 22, and constructed by irreversible projecting and recessed parts 36 formed on the film surface 35.
