PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning and vertically-movable type rack apparatus achieving effective utilization of space and improvement of housing ability by utilizing an unused space as a housing space. SOLUTION: The turning and vertically-movable type rack apparatus 1 is provided with: a fixed frame 3 fixed to a wall surface H etc.; a movable main rack 7 positioned in a housing space on the front surface side of the fixed frame 3 and fitted to the fixed frame 3 through a parallel linkage mechanism 5 in a vertically movable state; and an operation bar 9 fitted to the main rack 7. In a housing space on the rear surface side of the fixed frame 3, a movable sub rack 59 moving in a manner to be movable forward and backward in association with the movement of the main rack 7. The main rack 7 and the sub rack 59 are connected with each other turnably via connection rods 65 connected turnably.
