PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for reversing and using a blade in a hedge trimmer in a hedge trimmer that has a double-edged specification and is equipped with a blade of double-edged drive type. SOLUTION: In the hedge trimmer having a first and a second eccentric members 127 and 129 rotated and driven by an electric motor held in a main body part, a first and a second blades 143 and 145 that are connected to the first and the second eccentric members, respectively, so as to make a reciprocating linear motion mutually in reverse directions based on the eccentric rotations of the first and the second eccentric members and have cutting edges at both sides with a moving line between, two guide plates 151 and 153 that nip and support the first and the second blades from both the sides so as to allow the first and the second blades to move and are detachably fixed through a fixing means 167 to the main body part, the first and the second blades are formed in the same shape and are connected to the first and the second eccentric members in a reversed state around the moving line so as to change the positions of the cutting edges positioned at both side with the moving line between.
