PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AV apparatus whereby a user can carry out operations similar to those by a remote controller and desired by the user even when a battery of the remote controller is run out or the user cannot find out the remote controller. SOLUTION: When a remote control display key 13 is depressed, an OSD control section 21 generates a remote controller menu for the user to carry out the operations similar to those by the remote controller and provides an output of the menu. All keys provided to the remote controller are located on the remote control menu with a layout the same as that of the remote controller and the user can carry out the operations similar to those carried out by the remote controller on the basis of the remote control menu.
