PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustor member and a combustor panel for a gas turbine engine, and a manufacturing method of the combustor member. SOLUTION: Articles 37C, 38C, 31 have characteristic heat-mechanical stress principal directions 516, 524, 532. The articles 37C, 38C, 31 are provided with a single crystal base body having the lowest modulus direction (for example, [001]) within target alignment to the principal directions. The member may be selected from a group comprising a combustor shell component 30 and a heat shielding component 31. The member may have the whole shape of a truncated cone-shaped shell segment.
