An industrial gas engine has a remote ignition system. The engine has a supplementary gas fuel supply that arrives via an inlet chamber (2) and gas feed passage (3) via valves to the combustion chamber. The valve is operated by a control unit that responds to the combustion chamber pressure profile. The control unit operation is adjusted in response to inlet opening time and duration, in conjunction with the inlet chamber gas quantity and low emissions.
