PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file server capable of efficiently managing files transmitted and received by each terminal device. SOLUTION: This file server is provided with a receiving means that can be connected to a plurality of image processors through a network and receives an image file as well as attribute information from the image processors through the network, an image storing means for associating the image file received by the receiving means with the attribute information to store them, a file list preparing means for preparing a file list about the attribute information of the image file existing in the image storing means, a file list storing means for storing the file list, and a transmitting means for extracting list data corresponding to an extraction condition on the basis of the attribute information to prepare a file list for transmission and transmitting the file list for transmission to an image processor of a request source when a list request including the extraction condition (list object information) is received from the image processor.
