PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base plate for lithographic printing plate, excellent in developing property on a machine, high in sensitivity and resistance to printing, and reduced in the deterioration in resistance to printing contamination as well as ink repelling property, and the manufacturing method thereof as well as processing and printing method employing the base plate. SOLUTION: The base plate is provided on an aluminum substrate having an anodized film with a hydrophilic layer containing heat melting hydrophobic thermoplastic polymer grain and hydrophilic binder polymer while micro pores having the diameter of 6-12 nm and average pore interval of 10-30 nm exist in the anodized film. The anodized film, in which the pores having such diameters and average pore intervals exist, is formed by processing the aluminum substrate by the sulfuric acid of 200-500 g/l and, thereafter, the hydrophilic layer is provided thereon to manufacture the base plate. The base plate for lithographic printing is exposed to laser beam and is attached to a printing press or the same is attached at first to the printing press and, thereafter, is exposed to the laser beam on the printing press whereby processing and printing can be effected as. it is. |
