<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold voice quality by making a talk spurt interval constant at a receivers' side. <P>SOLUTION: The receiver comprises a header separator 301 for separating a received packet of voice signals into a header and voice data after receiving this packet; a fluctuation absorbing buffer 305 for accumulating voice data; a buffer remaining quantity monitor 303 for monitoring the remaining quantity of the voice data accumulated in the buffer 305; a talk spurt interval calculator 302 for calculating the time length of a voiceless section between two voiced sections, based on the different between a time stamp on the last packet in the first voiced section and that on the top packet in the next voiced section; and a buffer controller 304 for controlling a time for accumulating the voice data contained in the top packet of the voiced section under receiving in the buffer 305, based on the calculated talk spurt interval, the remaining quantity of the voice data, a minimum value of a predetermined voiceless section time length, and a storage initial value of the buffer 305. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
